Is the paint safe for babies and children?

Yes — when used correctly and with adult supervision.

Pure Memories uses Lefranc Bourgeois Enfants Acrylic Essentials, a high-quality, child-friendly acrylic paint made in France. This paint is non-toxic and designed for creative use by adults or under close adult guidance.

It is important to understand that this paint is not a toy. It is a creative material intended to be applied by parents or caregivers to capture handprints or footprints — not for independent play by children.

For this reason, like all responsible art materials, it is officially recommended for children aged 3 years and older, and always under supervision. This does not mean the paint is unsafe for younger children’s hand- or footprints — it simply means it is not designed for unsupervised use. In practice, children under 3 should never be left alone with any art materials, regardless of certification.

Paint washes off skin easily and can be machine-washed from fabrics up to 40 °C.
